Photo Project: August 3rd
Lunch!
While this was not my lunch yesterday, it has to be one of my favorites of all time!
Chicken Cesar salad!
On that note! Yesterday I made my second official sale in my Etsy store! It felt so good that people are starting to come by and actually buy things.
I also have gotten requests for adult size flower headbands, so that is going to be my new project in the upcoming months!
Come by and check out the stock! I will be doing some work in my store this weekend to list lots of new hair clip designs I made recently!

Luckily for me, Tuesday nights brings a volunteer meeting I will be going to from now until the election season is over in November.

Photo Project: August 1st
The assignment was to take a picture of a street, and I took a couple because I didn't know which I would like the best. And then the giant storm came. Hail the size of quarters... and of course it covered the road in front of the fire house my husband is a member of... and became my favorite picture of the day!
On a side note... I listed a ton of beautiful and new headbands yesterday with handmade flowers I had ordered a while back! Check out Addie's Accessories for the new stuff!

Simple Storage Boxes
I always have had a huge pain figuring out where to put all the hair accessories that our daughter has, and a couple seasons ago, when I was going nuts making Christmas products I had picked up these little paper mache boxes. The kind you can paint, and decorate like you want.
I always thought I would use them as a jewelry storage box, or for something small, as they aren't huge boxes. And then last week, I pulled two out that I had in my closet, and the idea dawned on me!
Storage box for hair clips! And the idea was born!
Hair clip storage boxes... I have all these clips starting to flood my house, not just because I am making them, but also because I am keeping some to the side for my little girl who has a ton of hair!
I listed a couple up on my Etsy Store, and they come with a bonus 10 clips... so you get a cute storage box, and 10 hair clips (a typical $10 value) for $10!
You can't beat that with a stick right?

We Are Live!
I have been working on craft projects forever. But I never thought I would actually take the time to re-open an Etsy store, and I never in a million years thought I would be selling baby girl hair accessories.
Back story? I am a work at home mom of two toddler boys, and an infant girl... Addison who was born in April of this year. I never thought I would have a little girl, and of course after two little boys in 18 months, with a husband that got a pink slip... we weren't planning anymore children.
But Addie had other plans for us.
Needless to say, she brought a huge light into our crazy lives, and when we found out we were having a little girl, I started making hand fulls of hair accessories. And we got lucky to have a little girl born with a head full of hair. I am sure as she gets older she will hate all the modeling I subject her to! But after two boys, I had to!
Anyway... I opened Addie's Accessories on Etsy, and day by day I am building a stock, and listing new items, designs, supplies (coming soon) and I really wanted to create a blog to go with the store so I can list and promote things like giveaways and sales.
So far at Addie's Accessories we have 2 giveaways pending!
1) First sale giveaway - The first person to make a purchase from the store will get a free gift with their order!
2) 100 Facebook "Likes" giveaway - When Addie's Accessories hits 100 followers on facebook there will be a flash giveaway that one lucky winner gets a free gift.
